Hi all,
The last week has been an important week for the Alambic project. For the first time, we decided to publish a screenshot of the current version of Alambic... So, here it is !
Here is an overview of what happened:
Team news:
- a new developer, Fnax, join the team (more information here: https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=744409)
Bugfixes:
- fix bug in TagExtractorTaglib about file size (you must rebuild you collection to fix it)
New features:
- alambic now manages other type of files than MP3: mid, ogg, mp3, wav, wma, flac are supported
- collection browser search function has been implemented
- only one instance of Alambic can exists at the same time
- preliminary version of OSD function
Updates:
- FMOD library has been updated to the latest version
- first version of UI design (thanks to Fnax !)
- first version of view system (thanks to Groxx !)
Development:
- begin the support of Track playCounter / lastPlayTime
- a new converter has been introduced DateTimeConverter
- playlist's expanders has been removed to fix UI virtualization problem
- introduce AlambicWorkerMonitor
- introduce AlambicWorker
Improvements:
- drag/drop items into the playlist is now done in a background thread
- search control's behaviour has been improved
- introduce new function is MusicLibrary.cs: rebuildAllLibrary()
What's next:
- Fnax will continue to work on UI design
- Groxx will to work on one of Alambic's view: the chronology
- I will improve OSD feature and keep working on background core code
